Crafting Through God's Love
The Crafting Through God’s Love Group provides a common thread between the participants’ love of creating and desire to help those in our local and worldwide communities through crafting. The group works either on a community service project of their choice or a personal project each month as they enjoy the fellowship of the other participants.

The craft group has used their talents to create the following items for charity; preemie hats and blankets for the local NIC Unit at Mercer Hospital, afghans for Lutheran World Relief, baby items for HomeFront's first time, single, homeless mothers’ group house, hats and lapghans for cancer patients at St. Francis Hospital.  The latest project was scarves for the Special Olympics participants. All items are taken into church quarterly for a blessing before being distributed to the appropriate charities. Whether you knit, crochet, knifty knit, needlepoint, cross stitch, embroider, quilt, sew or none of the above there is a place for you in this group. Any person with any level of ability is welcome, and those with no experience at all but a desire to help can come and learn.

Join us each month on the second Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm and the fourth Sunday from Noon to 2 pm after Worship as we make items together for ourselves and others. For more information or for donations of items or supplies please contact the church (above), call Kristine Andrejco at 609-393-4939 or click here to send her an email. Click here for some pictures of the work of the Craft Group. NOTE: During summer worship hours, the Craft Group will meet from 11 am to 1 pm.

Good News Kids Club
Youth under high school age are encouraged to get together twice a month for games and fellowship. Adult leadership will show them in a fun and educational way how God is active in their lives. For more information please call or email the Church (above) or click here to send an email to the Club contacts.

Youth Ensemble
Youth who are interested in playing a musical instrument in a group are encouraged to attend the Youth Ensemble gatherings from 4-6 pm on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of each month. They will practice musical arrangements for participation in selected Worship Services (see Worship Schedule) and become and learn to function as part of a unit. For more information please call or email the Church (above) or click here to send an email to the Ensemble contact.

Vacation Bible School
During one week in the summer each year St. Bart opens our doors to children from within our church and also from the surrounding community. During this week we focus on a specific theme and the kids attend VBS from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Kids participate in games, crafts, songs and learning about God. They are also given a meal and snacks. Children ages 3 thru completed 5th grade can participate in Vacation Bible School and in recent years we have had over 45 kids in attendance each year. For more information please call or email the Church (above) or click here to send an email to the VBS contact.

Fellowship Night
St. Bart members of all ages are invited to join in Fellowship Night on the 3rd Friday evening of the month from 6:30 to 8 pm in Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be potluck or covered dish. Each person or family unit is asked to bring something to contribute to the dinner for the evening. This can be a main dish, side dish, desert or something else that will serve 6 - 8 people. If you are unable to bring a dish as described, please contact the office for suggestions or other ideas. Most Fellowship Night dinners are followed by an activity. Everyone is welcome. For more information please call the Church (above) or click here to send us an email.

Adult Praise Group
Part of the Outreach Ministry, this Group is a Music Group at St. Bart’s. The group meets in Fellowship Hall from 6-8 pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. The group participants are asked to bring their gifts of singing, instrumental music and the spoken word and to learn to use them to praise God. In addition they are invited to bring their musical instruments to practice in a workshop group setting so they can lift their music as an ensemble to the
Lord. Norman Marcelle works with the group and intends to use this ministry to blend music, language, and human cultures to the glory of God. For more information please call or email the Church (above) or click here to send an email to the Adult Praise Group contact.

The Adult Praise Group is open to all persons 14 years and older with a musical talent, the desire as well as a commitment to learn and grow with the reality that praise is an art. It is truly the desire for group participants to fellowship with the St. Bartholomew church community but it is not mandatory. All persons should have their own instruments eventually in order to grow.

Refugee Ministry
Each year thousands of people from many foreign countries come to the USA to flee from political unrest, military or religious persecution, or for many other reasons. The underlying reason for their move to the USA is to seek a better life for themselves and their families. A few years ago St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church made a commitment to help these refugees. While they receive some assistance from agencies established to bring them to the USA and get them settled, there are many more things that need to be done to help them become more settled in the life style here in New Jersey. They need assistance to get the basics of life - food, shelter, transportation, etc. - some of God's gifts that many of us take for granted. St. Bart has been able to help many refugees since our commitment to this effort began but unfortunately we are not able to help all of them. For more information please call the Church (above) or click here to send us an email.

Additional Outreach
Outreach takes many forms in addition to the Outreach offered and given by the Craft Group, Good New Kids Club, Youth Ensemble, Vacation Bible School, Fellowship Night and Adult Praise Group listed above. Some of the other groups of St. Bart can be considered as having Outreach as well, depending upon their activity. Another thing that St. Bart does that is also Outreach is the annual Neighborhood Barbecue held in the Church parking lot on a Saturday in the Fall of the year. Many congregation members work to setup this event and everyone is invited to the Barbecue, whether they live in the immediate neighborhood or not.
For more information please call or email the Church (above) or click here to send us an email.
